The Love Your Career Scholarship is funded by Scott Jones, proprietor of Jones T-shirts.com. It is a financial independence scholarship and a career scholarship.

Students enrolled in a recognized college or university can apply for the Love Your Career Scholarship in the United States.

To be eligible for this award, you must submit an essay of at least 1,000 words explaining at least three steps you intend to take in the coming year to begin a path toward a job you enjoy.

Jones T-shirts.com has become a primary wholesale provider of blank T-shirts and apparel over the last 24 years. Scott persisted with his passion for T-shirts and turned it into a full-time job.

To be eligible for the Jones T-shirts scholarship, you must submit an essay of at least 1,000 words explaining at least three steps you intend to take in the next year to begin a path toward a career you love.

Eligibility Requirements for the Love Your Career Scholarship:

  • You must be a full-time student at a recognized institution or university in the United States.
  • If you are applying for the winter scholarship, you must be enrolled in classes during the winter semester in which you are applying.
  • If you apply for the fall scholarship, you must enroll in fall classes.
  • To qualify, you must adhere to all essay criteria and submission conditions.

Essay Requirements for the Love your Career Scholarship:

  • Your essay must be 1000 or more words (no more than 3000).
  • At the beginning of your essay, include your complete name, phone number, email address, and the name of the school to which you will be applying.
  • Outline at least three measures you intend to do in the coming year to begin your journey toward a career you enjoy. Evaluate some of the following thoughts as you consider these steps: What are the passions that you believe may be developed into a career? What are some business ideas based on things you enjoy and are talented at? We’re looking for original, well-thought-out concepts. Make your essay stand out from the crowd!
  • Conduct an interview with a professional in your research field with at least three years of experience.

  • What is one critical piece of advice you would provide to someone like me seeking a career in your field?

Essay Submission Requirements for the Love Your Career Scholarship:

  • The essay must be submitted in PDF format. There are no exceptions.
  • Your PDF file’s file name must include your complete name and school name. For instance, see Scott-Jones-BYU.pdf.
  • Email scholarship@jonestshirts.com your PDF file and a scanned copy of your proof of registration. Kindly provide two distinct attachments. Submissions with a single attachment will be disregarded.
  • In your Subject line, copy and paste the following: SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS FOR WINTER/JANUARY.
  • Please include your full name, phone number, and the name of the school where you are enrolled in the body of your email.

The scholarship recipient will be notified through email or phone within two to four weeks following the deadline.

Deadline for the Love your Career Scholarship 2023:

This is a two-year scholarship that is continuous. These will be the dates for each subsequent year:

  • Winter Semester/January: January 10th
  • Fall/September Semester: September 10th

Winner Selection for the Scholarship:

The panel of judges will review and assess all submissions. Credit will be assigned based on creativity, originality, and passion, among other factors.

The winner’s essay will be announced within two to four weeks of the deadline.

After eligibility verification, the student will be notified of their award by email or phone.

The student’s chosen school will receive a one-time $1,000 scholarship payment on behalf of the successful student.

The student is responsible for ensuring that payments are received by the school and notified within 60 days of the announcement if this is not the case.
