About Hoseo University

Hoseo University is a private Christian school with four campuses in South Korea.

It has its main campus in Asan, while the other three are in Cheonan, Dangjin, and Seoul (Venture Graduate School).

The college employs approximately 855 academic personnel, and as of 2021, the school has about 15,161 undergraduates and 1,308 postgraduate students.

It was the first college to build a graduate college for venture business in South Korea.

The university’s “World Class 2030” project supports study in new domains, such as;

  • The interface of five senses
  • The expression of smell
  • Invertebrate animal defense mechanisms in 20 years.

On the other hand, the college was first a private technical university when it was established on 28th December 1978.

It was located in Anseo-dong, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do and was called Cheonwon Technology University.

The founder is Seokgyu Kang, and the motto of the college is “We can do it, and it will come true.”

In December 1980, the two-year Cheonwon Technology University changed its name to Hoseo University and was transformed into a four-year collegiate institution within eight years.

It was granted complete university status in October 1988.

The 2nd Hoseo University campus was established in 1989 in 165, Sechul-ri, Baebang-myun Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do.

After that, the management center of the school was moved to the second Campus in Asan, making the Asan campus the primary campus of Hoseo University, and the Cheonan campus then became the first campus in 1991.

The school has a standard library, museum, broadcasting company, newspaper, continuing education, and health care center, etc.

In addition to that are study centers for;

The first president of Hoseo University was Seok Kyu Kang from 1979 to 2000. After him, Geun Mo Jung became sworn in as the subsequent president of the school in March 2000.

As of March 2004, Il Ku Kang, the son of the first president, has been the school president.

Does Hoseo University offer Scholarships to Students? 

The Venture Frontier Excellence Education program at Hoseo University provides selected students with four-year full scholarships, company placements, internships, and study abroad opportunities.

Christian principles, entrepreneurial leadership, innovative thinking, international verbal communication, and international teamwork are required for selection as a participant in the program.
