  1. Every applicant should have a legitimate personal email address (for consistent communication).
  2. Scanned copies of letters of identification must be stamped and signed by:
  • The Paramount Ruler of the community; and
  • The head /Chairman of the Community Development (CDC) or The Chairman of the chief Council (CEC).
  • The Community Trust (CT) is additionally required for applicants for the Operation Area Award.

The letter should be issued to “The ER Manager, Social Performance/Social Investment,” The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited.

The goal of this shell scholarship scheme is to enable qualified students from any state and the federal capital territory to earn a Master’s Degree in oil and gas related subjects, with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering and Hydrography at prominent UK universities.

The following courses qualify for a souvenir of NDP scholarships at the three institutions:

  • University of Birmingham: M.Sc Geotechnical Engineering.

  • Must not be married, be a child, a member, or one of the staff in Shell Companies in Nigeria, or the Nigerian Consultant.

How to Apply:
  • Submit an application for admission to any of the possible universities for any of the above qualifying courses
  • Application forms for the scholarship will ONLY be available through the participating universities’ websites following a suggestion of admission.
  • Universities will present applications and authorize eligible candidates to attend/observe the interview before final selection.
  • A complete scholarship application form must reach participants’ universities.
