  • The Kroger Scholarship is available to biological and legally adopted children or stepchildren of eligible employees across the Kroger business. This includes Kroger retail divisions (not including Harris Teeter), production, KASH, supply chain, 84.51°, Kroger technology and digital, Kroger health, RASC, and general office.
  • Eligible employees are required to have two years of continuous service with Kroger as of March 24, 2021. Full-time or part-time partners must have worked at least a thousand hours in the previous year.
  • Children of vice presidents or above do not need to apply.
  • Children serving on the board of directors of the Kroger Co. Foundation do not need to apply. 
  • Applicants must be under 25 years old, a high school senior, or enrolled in college or vocational school.

The student must meet one of the following criteria:

  • They live with, are supported by, and are covered by their parent’s or stepparent’s health insurance. They must also be claimed as a taxpayer by the parent/stepparent.
  • If an employee has two or more eligible children, each of the children can apply for the scholarship.

Note: Kroger student employees are not eligible for the scholarship unless their parents/stepparents are employees.

Scholarship Terms and Conditions for the Kroger Scholarship:

The Kroger Scholarship is a full-time undergraduate scholarship at an accredited two-year or four-year institution or technical/vocational school.

This award is not renewable. However, students who previously won it may reapply any other year they are eligible, but not as a renewal.

Ineligible students can reapply in any other year. If there are enough applications, then children of hourly employees will receive some scholarships.

Application Requirements for the Kroger Scholarship 

  • College Freshman: Personal essay, High school transcript, and SAT or ACT scores.
  • College Sophomore, Junior, or Senior: Personal essays and college transcripts are always required.
  • Photo or video (can be asked for during acceptance, mainly for recipients).
